About us

Upwell is West Seattle's reliable spot to drop in seven days a week to find something delicious to eat and drink. During the day we have a dynamic coffee program with house made pastries, breakfast, and lunch plates. To keep it fresh and interesting we always feature two roasters to brew espresso, pour overs, and specialty drinks from. Our core partner is Herkimer Coffee from Seattle's Phinney Ridge neighborhood who has been sourcing green beans directly from farmers around the globe since 2003. They have been an advocate for sustainable pricing and quality since the beginning and we couldn't think of a better group of folks to support, and the coffee's really good too!

Our current featured roaster is Velton's Coffee! Located in Everett, WA, Velton’s is a small, quality-oriented coffee roastery. They’ve been supporting local coffee houses, independent restaurants, and PNW coffee enthusiasts since 2007 and we’re pumped to have their Guatemalan roast: sweet, fruity, and balanced with flavors of peach gummy candy, red plum, and apricot.

Come nighttime the space transforms into a wine bar that has fifteen+ wines by the glass, vermouth cocktails, and a full dinner menu Tuesday - Saturday from 3:00 - 10:00 PM.

Sunday & Monday drop in for a glass and a slightly paired down food menu until 5:00 PM.

Coffee, pastries and daytime menu available everyday from 8:00 - 3:00 PM.

Tasting Tuesdays are drop in from 5-7 and we'll have a rotating lineup of killer wines and good looking winemakers pouring them to answer all your questions.
